Recently, Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sec-21 D, marked an exciting milestone by introducing Korean language classes for students of Classes VI and VII through a vibrant collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI). The initiative has been met with great enthusiasm from students, who are diving into a world of linguistic discovery and cultural richness.

The sessions go far beyond textbook learning. Designed to be interactive and engaging, they blend language acquisition with immersive experiences of Korean culture. Students are not only learning to read and write Hangul — the Korean script — but are also gaining insights into Korean traditions, festivals, cuisine, music, and core values. The fun and engaging format of these lessons ensures high participation and a genuine interest in the subject.

The classrooms have come alive with creative activities, including Korean calligraphy, K-pop dance steps, and even sampling traditional Korean dishes. Teachers from KCCI brought authenticity to every session, making learning not just educational but a delightful cultural exchange.

Through this programme, Apeejay Svran Global School aimed to foster not just multilingual skills but also global citizenship. Students are encouraged to develop an open mindset, respectful curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Parents and faculty applauded this initiative, recognising the importance of such early exposure to global cultures in shaping confident, empathetic, and well-rounded individuals. As these young learners begin to communicate in a new language, they are also building bridges of understanding and respect across cultures.

This collaboration stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, one that prepares students not just academically but as culturally aware global citizens. Events like these promote global awareness, boost intercultural understanding, and foster empathy. They equip students with essential skills for a globalised future — communication, curiosity, and cultural sensitivity.
