This beautiful thought that Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, once shared with the members of the Apeejay family has certainly inspired many, who today are not just successful in life, but also conscious of their duties and responsibilities towards their fellow citizens.

With an unwavering commitment to enhance the quality of education in India, the visionary leader has played a pivotal role in establishing a network of schools, colleges, and institutes that prioritise holistic learning and character development. These Apeejay institutions exemplify the fact that sky is not the limit in the pursuit of excellence.

Honouring her dynamic and visionary leadership, on November 2, Apeejay Stya University family in Gurugram celebrated the Chancellor’s birthday with great fervour and enthusiasm. Faculty members and students spend the day showcasing their respect, appreciation and admiration for Mrs Berlia.

The magnificent event commenced with a welcome address delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Raj S Dhankar, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, during which he expressed his best wishes and respect towards Madam Chancellor. He spoke about the importance of spirit and thought to make a celebration memorable.

He also highlighted the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education and Apeejay Stya Group Dr. Stya Paul’s extraordinary achievements and impactful contribution towards the society and this legacy is carried forward by his only daughter Mrs Berlia. She is a true leader, a woman full of warmth and values.

A beautiful thank you note was read by Prof. (Dr.) Dhankar on behalf of Madam Chancellor. Sharing her heartfelt appreciation Mrs Berlia expressed, “I have been a little ambivalent about the celebration of my birthday in this way. However, I was happy to have it finally because I realised that I have always considered you all my extended family members and of course, I would wish to share this day with you. Today, I was remembering my father, our late chairman, Dr Stya Paul, as he always encouraged me to believe in myself as we believe in all of you. We would be poor copies but we can be great originals. I wish us to share this pledge today as it is in giving that we receive and in multifold. It is the best gift we can give to ourselves and to each other. May you all always stay blessed with divine grace and abundance.”

The Vice Chancellor further mentioned how the day is very auspicious for a bigger celebration as Apeejay Stya University has received NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation this year under Mrs Berlia’s magnificent leadership.

As part of the celebrations, Apeejay students showcased their innate talent to bring a smile on Madam Chancellor’s face while spreading the key values of love, happiness and togetherness.

Student Kajal Shukla recited a self-composed poem on Naari Shakti on this special occasion. Aryan Sharma sang an all-time favourite birthday song Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye. The celebrations also featured a melodious prayer offering to the Almighty sung by Sneha and Sakshi. Further,  Manan Chawla, Astha and Anubhuti grooved to the beats of popular Punjabi songs.

The programme concluded with the Vice Chancellor along with all the faculty members, student and staff releasing colourful balloons into the sky, after that everyone was treated with chocolates as a token of love, respect and togetherness.
