Apeejay Stya University celebrates Teachers’ Day with grandeur, gratitude, and joyful togetherness

Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram celebrated Teacher’s Day 2025 with grandeur, joy, and heartfelt gratitude, honouring the guiding lights of education. The event was led by the students of School of Education (SOE), and was filled with cultural vibrancy, thoughtful messages, and memorable interactions between students and faculty members.

The programme commenced with the facilitation of teachers with roses, symbolising admiration and respect. This was followed by the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, accompanied by Saraswati Vandana, signifying wisdom, knowledge, and enlightenment. Anchors Charu and Lavanya, students from the School of Education, conducted the proceedings with confidence, adding warmth and enthusiasm to the event.

Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh, Vice Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University in his inaugural speech of the programme, said that no Educational Technology or AI can replace a good teacher. The Vice Chancellor further shared Teachers’ Day message sent by Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education..

Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia had shared her inspiring message highlighting the pivotal role of teachers as mentors, role models, and nation-builders. She had mentioned that  teachers go beyond academics to inspire curiosity, resilience, and holistic growth. She also lauded the dedication and perseverance of teachers and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to value-based education, anchored in human values and lifelong learning.

The cultural programme reflected the students’ immense love for their teachers.
A line of activities were conducted including a Bollywood-themed game “Guess the Dialogue”, which brought laughter and excitement. Another one was energetic dance performances by students, celebrating the vibrancy of youth.

A stylish ramp walk by teachers, where they walked the stage with confidence, elegance, and Bollywood swag, to loud cheers from students. This was followed by the musical chair game, which created moments of fun, nostalgia, and joyful bonding.

The ambience was infused with further excitement with a cake-cutting ceremony, celebrated amidst cheers and applause, followed by refreshments that added sweetness to the evening.

One of the most memorable sessions was “Feedback on the Board”, where teachers penned their thoughts, emotions, and reflections. This not only created a lasting memory but also highlighted the deep connection between students and faculty.

The Teachers’ Day 2025 event was warmly appreciated by the faculty members. Teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the thoughtful organisation, cultural vibrancy, and the genuine efforts of students to make the day special. The teachers described the celebration as “wonderfully organised”, “memorable”, and “a day full of joy and respect”.

The colourful presentations, cultural activities, and creative messages made the atmosphere lively and engaging.

The faculty highlighted that the handwritten notes and personalised messages from students were touching and reflected the deep bond between students and their mentors.

Teachers felt honoured and valued, with several expressing that the celebration was not only enjoyable but also inspiring and heartwarming. Some noted specific appreciation for the vibrant décor, enthusiastic participation, and heartfelt performances, which made the event stand out.

Words like “beautifully executed,” “thank you for making us feel special,” and “a memorable Teacher’s Day” were commonly shared across the notes.

Overall, the event was received as a resounding success, leaving teachers with a sense of pride, joy, and renewed motivation. The celebration truly embodied the spirit of gratitude, respect, and cultural vibrancy, strengthening the bond between teachers and students.

Lastly, extending the vote of thanks, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Associate Professor in SOE & Organiser of the Celebration, extended gratitude to the university leadership, teachers, and students for their collective spirit. He remarked, “Teachers’ Day is not just about celebration; it is about acknowledging the selfless dedication of teachers who light the lamp of knowledge. I thank all students for making this day so special for their mentors.”

The celebration concluded with a group photograph, capturing the smiles, camaraderie, and spirit of togetherness that truly defines Apeejay Stya University. The day left everyone with cherished memories, reaffirming the timeless bond between teachers and students.
