Apeejay students win “Retro Revamp” Entrepreneurship Competition

Showcasing their entrepreneurial prowess, Raunak Jha and Moksh Khatri, BBA (FM) students from School of Management Sciences (SOMS) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU) recently clinched the top prizes in the “Retro Revamp” competition. tThe competition was organised by the Entrepreneurial Cell of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.

The journey commenced with an online quiz round focused on entrepreneurship and business knowledge, featuring 122 teams. Apeejay qualified the round by securing the 5th position, thereby advancing to the next stage.

Subsequently, the competition transitioned to the campus of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College for the 2nd and 3rd rounds. In the second round, participants were tasked with revamping a once successful product, participants were assigned – HMT watches. 10 teams from IIT BHU, SRCC and other top colleges were battling for top spots in the second round. Apeejay secured 2nd position in that round.

The grand finale witnessed a compelling 10-minute presentation by each team, outlining their innovative approach to relaunching the assigned products. Sharing his thoughts, the winners expressed, “The esteemed panel of judges were highly impressed by the clarity of thought and excellent presentation skills displayed by us. The success of ours in the competition is not only a testament to our entrepreneurial skills  but also reflects the guidance and mentorship provided by Dr. Sunil Roy. His expertise in both presentation skills and entrepreneurial strategies played a pivotal role in shaping the winning narrative. We sincerely thank sir for his guidance and lots of blessings.”

Raunak and Moksh received coupon prizes of Rs 3000 and Rs 5000. This competition allowed students to explore new dimensions as well as gave a platform to demonstrate the vital guidance and learnings taught by the faculty members of SOMS.
