Apeejay students shine at the National Business Plan competition

The event registered 106 entries at the national level in this competition held at IIM Bangalore

The students of Jalandhar’s Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) brought another glory to the college by showcasing their talent at the National Business Plan competition recently held in  IIM Bangalore.

Apeejay students including Archa, Stuti Kharbanda, Tanisha, Gagandeep Singh of BBA Sem 4th semester and Sushoban and Karanveer Singh from B. Voc. E.Commerce & Digital Marketing 4th semester participated in this competition organised by Makeintern and Unmaad.

These students not only competed against 106 entries nationwide but also secured their place among the top 8 teams after clearing the initial round.

Apeejay students presented the innovative ‘HATHkari’ Business Plan, highlighting India’s rich heritage through ethnic wear adorned with traditional art forms like Tanjore, Dhokra, Warli, and Gond. The garments included t-shirts, shirts, suits, and stoles, showcasing the potential to generate employment for Indian youth while promoting unique and creative clothing. The jury applauded the students for their exceptional presentation and the creativity embedded in their business plan.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, expressed her pride in providing opportunities for students’ overall personality development and boosting self-confidence. Acknowledging the competitive nature of the current era, she emphasised the significance of students participating in prestigious institutions like IIT and IIM. 

Further, Dr. Dhingra lauded Ms. Garima Arora and Mr. Amandeep Thakur for their guidance and mentorship, ensuring that the students not only participate but also learn from such esteemed competitions. The success at the National Business Plan competition underscored Apeejay College’s commitment to nurturing creative thinking, innovation, and business acumen among its students.
