Apeejay students make their institute proud, clinch gold, silver and bronze medals

Participants from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar win in various competitions in the Zonal Youth Festival

When it comes to winning a competition, students of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, leave no stone unturned to make their institute proud. The students of AIMETC are not just trained to ace in their academics, but are prepared to win every competition in life. 

And once again AIMETC students have proved their potential and calibre as they bring laurels by winning top pistons in various competitions in the recently concluded Zonal Youth Festival, organised by IK Gujral Punjab Technical University ( IKG-PTU).

Enthusiastically participating in multiple events, the students bagged top positions in Rangoli, Debate, Elocution, Singing and many other competitions. In the Rangoli competition,  Kamalpreet Kaur of B Tech (CSE) won first position. Dilpreet Kaur along with Nandani Bagga from B Com (H) bagged Gold Medal in the Debate competition.

In events like Elocution and Poster-making, BCA students Jasmilan Kaur and Rahul bagged the second position respectively while clinching the Silver Medal. 

Amisha from the MCA programme won a Bronze Medal in the Western Vocal Solo. Simultaneously, Subhankar and Akansha Tyagi of B Tech (CSE) as well as Rudrakhsh of BBA won a Bronze Medal in the Quiz competition.

Winner of the Debate competiton Dilpreet Kaur expressed, “I thank the Almighty with whose blessings I won the Gold medal in the ‘Rangla Punjab Youth Fest 2023’. This is of course nothing less than a miracle and yes , it has made me the happiest. I am also grateful to my teachers and my parents for all the unconditional love and support that they provide me.”

Another winner Jasmilan Kaur shared, “Participating in the Youth Fest was an exhilarating experience. I prepared diligently for the Elocution competition, on the topic Digital India – Transforming Nation through Technology. I addressed a captivated audience with my thoughts and ideas. Winning the second position filled me with a sense of accomplishment and reinforced my passion for public speaking.”

Congratulating the students, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, expressed,  “The very purpose of participation in such events is to unearth the talent of students. These events provide ample opportunities to students who want to excel in their area of interest.”

Dr. Bagga also further congratulated the faculty coordinators of the Cultural Committee – Mr. Daljeet Singh Matharu (Cultural Coordinator), School of IT , Ms. Rajinder Kaur
(Co-Convenor, Cultural Committee), Ms. Parmjit Kaur, and Mr. Gurpreet Singh
(members Cultural Committee) from the School of Management – for encouraging students to participate in the inter-college competition.
