Marking the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Apeejay School, Model Town in collaboration with Dainik Jagran embarked on a touching initiative that brought together students to create handmade rakhis as well as heartwarming messages as a token of appreciation for the valiant soldiers stationed at the borders.

The school introduced “Raksha Parva,” a unique platform that aimed to acknowledge the unwavering dedication and sacrifices made by our courageous soldiers, who have steadfastly safeguarded the nation’s freedom.

The event witnessed a vibrant atmosphere as students, brimming with enthusiasm, meticulously created handmade rakhis, each thread interwoven with sentiments of gratitude and respect for the soldiers. Accompanying these rakhis were heartfelt messages, carrying words of encouragement and appreciation that aimed to reach the soldiers stationed in the remote frontiers.

As the sun cast its warm glow on the event, the school premises were adorned with vibrant displays of creativity and gratitude. The handmade rakhis stood as tangible tokens of unity and solidarity, symbolising the unbreakable bond between the citizens and their protectors.

Expressing the essence of the initiative, the Principal of Apeejay School, Model Town, remarked, “Dedicating a rakhi to our brave soldiers goes beyond the traditional ritual; it serves as a symbol of unwavering support and gratitude from the heart. Our students have poured their emotions into these handmade rakhis and messages, showcasing their respect for those who selflessly guard our nation.”

In a touching display of unity and empathy, the school came together to prepare 5-6 substantial packets. The culmination of these efforts was a heartening reminder of the unbreakable bond between the citizens and their defenders.

Tanushka, a class 1 student of Apeejay School, Model Town, shared, “Our soldiers display great courage and sacrifice, leaving behind their families to defend the country. Sending them love through rakhis is the least we can do to honour their selfless deeds.”

Another student, Sashmith Kumar of class 7, expressed, “Creating rakhis to honour our armed forces is my way of thanking them for their daily sacrifices. The freedom and liberty we cherish are thanks to the dedication of these brave men and women. They truly deserve our love and gratitude.”

The event concluded with a sense of fulfillment, as the packets containing these precious tokens of appreciation were handed over with a collective prayer for the soldiers’ well-being and continued valour.
