Scoring above 90% in Class 8 is no small feat. It demands consistency, discipline, and a love for learning. At Apeejay School, Saket, three brilliant minds – Parth Pandey, Krishiv Jain, and Isba Naaz – have proven their academic mettle by emerging as star performers for the session 2024-25. Now in Class 9, they reflect on their journeys, academic interests, and future goals in a candid telephonic interview.
Parth Pandey: “I was not expecting this much, but I worked really hard”
Scoring an impressive 92.2%, Parth Pandey attributes his success to sheer dedication and excellent guidance. “When I got my result, I was feeling very good. It was the result of my hard work,” he shared. To his own surprise, Sanskrit became his highest scoring subject with a perfect 60/60. “There’s no secret – just regular study. Our sir taught us very well,” he humbly added.
With clear academic interests in Maths and Science, Parth has set his sights on a future in engineering. “I want to go for IIT and I plan to take PCM in Class 11,” he said, already aligning his studies with his dream of pursuing Computer Science Engineering. Although he hasn’t started preparing for JEE yet, he confidently stated, “I’ll begin from Class 11.”
Krishiv Jain: “This is not the first time. I’ve been scoring above 90% consistently”
Scoring 91.7%, Krishiv is no stranger to academic excellence. His calm and confident demeanor reflects in his response: “I was excited but not that much. It has become a normal thing for me.” Alongside academics, Krishiv finds joy in sports like football and art.
When asked about his favourite subjects, he said, “Maths and Science ignite my creativity. I enjoy solving equations and understanding how things work.” Already exploring his passion, Krishiv has started learning computer programming. Looking ahead, he firmly stated, “I will choose Science and Math for Class 11 and aim for Computer Science Engineering through JEE.”
Isba Naaz: “Consistency was the key. I followed a schedule from day one”
With a strong score of 91.2%, Isba Naaz is a student who believes in routine and self-discipline. “I was quite satisfied with my grades. I had worked hard to maintain consistency from the beginning,” she said. Her love for Maths and Science comes from their real-life applications. “Science is all around us, and Maths is something we use every day,” she explained.
Isba also takes an active interest in dance, yoga, and public speaking, and even won a science quiz in Class 7. As for the future, she’s planning to take PCM in Class 11 and become a software engineer. “Right now, I’m focusing on building strong basics so I can start JEE prep in Class 11,” she added.
