Apeejay School, Pitampura sensitises young learners to kindness towards animals
A special assembly encouraged pre-primary students to embrace compassion, empathy and care for animals and nature
Recently, Apeejay School, Pitampura, organised a heartwarming special assembly on the theme Be Kind to Animals, bringing together the Pre-Primary teachers and KG Apeejayites for an engaging morning centred on compassion, empathy and respect for all living beings.
The assembly commenced with meditation, prayer and exercises, creating a calm and positive atmosphere for the young learners. This was followed by a lively presentation that brought the world of animals to life through cheerful animal sounds, songs, enactments and engaging performances.
Adding colour and creativity to the presentation, the teachers took on different roles, portraying jungle animals, a hunter and a woodcutter. Through these role-plays, the young audience was introduced to meaningful lessons about the importance of protecting animals, preserving their natural habitats and treating every living being with kindness.
The little Apeejayites enthusiastically participated in the presentation and delighted everyone with their confident and cheerful performances. Their expressions, actions and lively enactments reflected the spirit of the assembly while making the message relatable and enjoyable for their age group.
The assembly also highlighted how small acts of kindness can contribute to a more compassionate world. By encouraging children to care for animals, respect nature and understand the needs of other living beings, the session sought to nurture values of empathy and responsible behaviour from an early age.
