Parents, grandparents and teachers showcase enthusiasm, sporting spirit and healthy competition ahead of the grand Sports Day
Recently, Apeejay School, Pitampura, witnessed an atmosphere of excitement, energy, and camaraderie as the preliminary rounds for its much-awaited Sports Day 2026 were conducted with enthusiastic participation from parents, grandparents, and teachers of students from nursery to Class XII.
Scheduled in October 2026, the annual Sports Day promises to be an exciting celebration of fitness, sportsmanship, and community spirit. The preliminary rounds were organised to identify the finalists who will compete for top honours on the much-anticipated day.
The event featured a range of engaging sporting activities designed to encourage active participation across age groups. The 100-metre race for mothers and fathers saw participants display speed, agility, and determination as they competed with great enthusiasm. The Table Tennis Singles matches for mothers and fathers added another dimension to the proceedings, with participants showcasing focus, coordination, and competitive spirit.
Grandparents were also an integral part of the sporting celebrations. A specially organised fun game for grandparents brought smiles and laughter to the event, creating memorable moments and highlighting the importance of staying active and connected across generations.
The school’s teachers enthusiastically joined the sporting action as well, participating in the 100-metre race. Their spirited participation added to the energy of the event and reinforced the message that sports and physical activity are for everyone, regardless of age.
All the preliminary rounds were conducted smoothly, with participants demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the competitions.
