Apeejay School of Management, Dwarka gears up for the World Patent Conclave

Patent runs the modern world. It is an essential step towards preserving an idea, an artist and even a society. In the wise words of the honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, “Patents are important. You never know when one grabs your innovation.” These words instilled a deep confidence in all entrepreneurs as the Prime Minister encouraged the creative geniuses of the nation at the Start Up Mahakumbh recently. 

Apeejay School of Management (ASM) in Dwarka has always told batches and batches of students the same message: Patent Protects! In sync with this vision, the Delhi-based management school is organising the 2nd World Innovation Patent Conclave on April 5. 

The conclave aims to provide a global platform to researchers for discussing  recent advancements in research in the form of filing patents, trademarks and copyrights. The experts during the inaugural session aim to discuss the relevance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for researchers across various domains.

While Lt. General P.J.S Pannu, PVSM, AVSM,VSM will be presiding over as the Chief Guest for the inaugural session, Mr Gursaurabh Singh, Founder and Inventor Dhruv Vidyut and Shark Tank India Fame will preside over as the Guest of Honour.

The keynote address will be delivered by   Dr Pawan Duggal, Advocate, Supreme Court of India,  Authority in Cyber Law. Other distinguished guests present will be Mr. Govind Kedia, Director of Artic Invent at Bask UK and Dr. Ehtiram Raza Khan, Sr. Academician at Jamia Hamdard.               

The conclave headed by convener and ASM faculty Prof Anuj Kumar and co-conveners Dr Ishita Adhikari, Dr Chhaya Wadhwa, Dr Pragya Arya and Dr Vernika Agarwal aims to provide a platform to researchers across different domains to convert their research into an appropriate type of IPR in patent, trademark or copyright.  

The conclave will also feature a panel discussion on “How technology and innovation shaping Viksit Bharat”.

Undoubtedly, patenting carries high weightage for academics and  helps in accreditation for any university or institute. Thus, the conclave strives hard to enable researchers into a smooth and hassle-free journey to patent their work.
