Apeejay School, Noida, pays tribute to Kargil heroes

Recently, Apeejay School, Noida, solemnly observed Kargil Vijay Diwas to honour the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War. The special assembly, held in the school auditorium, allowed students to understand the meaning of duty, service, and national responsibility.

Organised by the Interact Club, the programme brought together different forms of expression to remember the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. Each presentation helped students connect with the history of the Kargil War and the sacrifices made by the soldiers.

Stories of courage through words and performance

The assembly featured a motivational talk that reflected on the determination and courage shown by the soldiers during the conflict. A patriotic poem added an emotional note to the programme and expressed gratitude towards those who served the nation.

The school choir presented a melodious performance that created a sense of unity and pride among the audience. This was followed by a moving skit depicting key moments from the Kargil War. Through the performance, students revisited the challenges faced by the soldiers and the strength with which they protected the country.

A message of responsibility

Addressing the gathering, the school Principal, Dr Neha Sharma, encouraged students to fulfil their responsibilities towards the nation in every possible way. She reminded them to remember and honour the sacrifices made by the heroes of the Kargil War.

Her message placed patriotism within everyday conduct. It encouraged students to become responsible, compassionate, and aware citizens who contribute to society through their actions.

The assembly concluded with a deep sense of gratitude and national pride. It left students reflecting on the values of courage, unity, and selfless service, and on the role each citizen can play in carrying these values forward.
