Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, marked a proud academic achievement as student Abhiraj Aggarwal secured the first position at Symposium 2026, titled GOONJ: Redefining Horizons in Innovation. Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, hosted the virtual symposium. It brought together students from schools across the country and gave them a platform to examine major global concerns through research, reflection, and presentation.
Exploring questions that shape the future
The event focused on themes linked to environmental responsibility, social equality, space exploration, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence.
One of the themes examined was whether humanity’s journey from Earth to Mars could be seen as an escape from a dying planet or as an attempt to carry existing patterns of destruction into space.

Another theme centred on equality and the need to empower communities through inclusive environmental decision-making. It encouraged participants to consider whose voices are heard when decisions affecting natural resources and public well-being are made.
The symposium also addressed the risks connected with artificial intelligence. The theme AI Without Empathy: The Hidden Dangers of Indiscriminate Technological Advancement asked students to reflect on what may happen when technology develops without enough attention to human values, responsibility, and compassion.

A performance marked by clarity
Abhiraj stood out for his critical thinking and articulate presentation. His ability to engage with a complex subject and communicate clearly earned him the top position at the event.
The achievement reflects the value of giving students opportunities to think beyond textbooks. Platforms such as symposiums allow them to study real-world concerns, develop informed viewpoints, and present their ideas with confidence.
His success has brought recognition to Apeejay School, Model Town, and has made the school community proud.
