Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, marked Teacher’s Day with a celebration that combined reverence, high spirits, and student-led festivity. On the day, students honored the birth anniversary of scholar, philosopher, and former President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The occasion gave students a chance to express their gratitude toward educators through a day designed and run almost entirely by the school’s senior batch.
The celebrations started with a special morning assembly organised entirely by students of Class 12, setting a tone that was, by turns, soulful and joyous. Student leaders delivered speeches reflecting on the role teachers play in shaping minds, instilling values, and guiding young people toward their futures.

The speeches gave way to a series of musical performances, with students singing melodies dedicated to their mentors. It was followed by dance performances energetic enough to draw enthusiastic applause from the gathered audience.
The day’s centrepiece was its traditional role-reversal exercise, in which students took over classrooms across the school. Participating students delivered lessons, managed discipline, and gained a firsthand sense of what the profession actually demands.
Faculty members observed that the student-teachers handled their assigned classes with notable poise and maturity, a detail that drew particular praise once the day’s activities wrapped up.

In the second half of the programme, Class 12 turned the spotlight back onto the faculty, organising games and entertainment specifically for teachers. The staff took part with enthusiasm, and the resulting atmosphere was positive.
The event concluded with recognition for the student-teachers who stood out over the course of the day for their teaching skill, classroom management, and confidence at the front of the room. The best teacher titles went to Abhishek of Class 12, Hardik of Class 5, Harshil of Class 8, and Riyansi of Class 9.

The title ceremony was followed by the distribution of sweets and words of appreciation.
Reflecting on the day, the school’s Principal said Teacher’s Day at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, stood as a heartening testament to the beautiful bond shared between our faculty and students. She added that watching the Class 12 students lead with such maturity and enthusiasm was a source of considerable pride. The Principal offered special congratulations to the winners for their best teacher honours.
