Commemorating the 98th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, the first lady of Apeejay Stya Group, students, teachers and staff at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida engaged in an array of activities.

The day began with the chanting of shlokas and lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school’s Principal, Dr Sarita Pande. She offered heartfelt floral tribute and prayers to the picture of Late Smt. Rajeshwari Paul. Students sang various bhajans and performed dances in her honour.

On this special day, an art exhibition was curated by the school. It showcased the artistic creations of students that left the audience spellbound at the skill and uniqueness of their craft.

A beautiful message by President Madam, Ms. Sushma Paul Berlia was read by Dr. Pande. She enlightened the students about the contribution of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul towards art and culture when it wasn’t much valued in India. She also shared that the first lady was an accomplished dancer and musician and enjoyed the various forms of art throughout her life. “Her mission is inspiring for the future of the Apeejayites,” remarked Ms. Pande while motivating students to learn and participate more in the fields of art, music, dance and craft.

“Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Kala Utsav is a great initiative that symbolises the passion of the first lady of Apeejay to inculcate artistic temper amongst students. Their innate potential is brought out by these activities. At Apeejay, we firmly believe that every student is a born artist with a masterpiece hidden inside them.”
