Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar celebrates birth anniversary of Smt Rajeshwari Paul

Smt. Rajeshwari Paul’s vision was to facilitate holistic development in the education arena while promoting art and creativity. She was a personification of compassion, kindness, generosity and humility. 

Remembering the beautiful soul, Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar celebrated 101st birth anniversary of Smt Rajeshwari Paul, the first lady of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and beloved of wife of Founder Chairman Dr Stya Paul. 

The celebrations began with an address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC. He first read out a beautiful message on behalf of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education and daughter of Smt Rajeshwari Paul. In her message, Mrs Berlia shared that this birth anniversary is a celebration that acknowledges the art appreciation, aesthetics, and generosity that were unique to Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul. Rightfully, these have organically become the characteristics of Apeejay Education as well. Love for Art and Culture was ingrained in the very persona of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul. She had an abiding love for both performing Arts and Visual Arts etc.

Smt. Rajeshwari Paul’s vision was to facilitate holistic development in the educational arena, through the promotion of art. She was a noble soul with a vibrant personality, known always for giving, unconditional love and grace. She had an M.A. in English literature, was intelligent and ebullient, had wide-ranging interests and was a charming conversationalist. She was fond of dancing and swimming, among other things. She loved to play harmonium and had a keen interest in Indian classical dance Kathak.

Further, Dr. Bagga mentioned while saying, “Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ‘s legacy of art, culture, and generosity of spirit continues to live and thrive in the institutions of Apeejay Education and in the hearts of all of us.”
