‘Analyse your weaknesses and look at failure as an opportunity to improve’

The second day of Annual Appreciation Day at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar was marked with great fervour and excitement. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr Satinder Kumar Chadha, ACP, License & Security, Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, who kindly served as the Chief Guest for the day.

Hosted under the auspices of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, this year’s theme was Abhijit: Conquer the Happiness that symbolizes the triumph of joy and positivity over the daily stressors in life. The theme spread a ray of light and hope amongst all in the audience.

The second day of the event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the rendition of the school song along with a heartfelt invocation of Adiyogi ki Panchkaritya. The programme featured an array of performances showcasing the diverse talents of the students.

Delivering the keynote address, the Chief Guest Mr Satinder Kumar Chadha offered some important suggestions to the parents. “Apeejay School, Tanda Road lives up to its tagline: Soaring High is My Nature, as the teachers and students put in their efforts whole heartedly in achieving excellence. Teachers have groomed the talented minds very well, kudos to them. I further congratulate all the students and also advise them not to get disheartened in case of failures. Analyse your weaknesses and look at failure as an opportunity to improve, that’s it. And always have more faith in hard work than destiny. Wish you the best!”

The pre-primary segment delighted the audience with a charming skit involving aliens, complemented by captivating dance performances from the Nursery and LKG classes. The play showcased how the holistic education of the Apeejayites was even creating wonders among the extra-terrestrials.

Several other captivating items added vibrancy to the celebration, including ‘Flamenco Puro,’a play depicting Chanakya’s vision of ‘Akhand Bharat Rchayita’. It was followed by an enthralling dance performance ‘Ananth Lavanya,’ and a mesmerising Arabic dance performance titled ‘Almeh’. Last but not least, the super high-energy Bhangra performance titled ‘Saada Virsa Vihar’ simply left the audience spellbound as the folk beats resounded in the school compound.

It was however the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony which was the highlight of the event, where the chief guest along with the school’s Principal, Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, accompanied by the school coordinator, Ms. Deepti Kaushal, distributed awards and accolades to the deserving students.

Further, Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra expressed her gratitude and delivered a vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of the school community in making the event a resounding success. She mentioned in her address, “Our school is committed to providing technologically sound education with an unwavering support for the holistic development of each and every student. But this is not all. In the same breath, we also give our best to provide ethical and value-based education to the students. And I am happy we are progressing immensely in this direction.”

The event concluded as a grand success as happy faces among parents and students flocked the gathering as teachers too breathed a sigh of relief for their endless hard work achieved its purpose.
