The Information Technology Club of the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, organised Pixel Perfection: The Battle of Web Designers. The event tested the website design skills of students from different streams.
Students from BTech, BCA and MCA took part in the competition. Participants were handed a problem statement on the spot and asked to design a website in response. The format tested creativity, technical ability, and the ability to think quickly under time pressure. Organisers said the students approached the task with energy and produced impressive websites.
Tanish and Ritika Sahota of BTech won first place. Manmeet Kaur and Sukhmanpreet Kaur of BCA V took second place. The team of Balwinder and Viren Sondhi from BCA III finished third.
Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga congratulated the winners and encouraged students to take part in similar extra-curricular activities for their overall development and to strengthen their technical skills.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Rohit Verma, Convenor of the Information Technology Club, and Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Head of Department, School of Engineering & Technology. Student coordinators Ms. Anshita and Ms. Vani, both of MCA III, assisted the faculty in running the event.
Organisers said competitions of this kind give students a chance to apply classroom learning to practical problems. Designing a website from a given brief, with no preparation time, requires planning, teamwork, and a sense of user experience, skills that are increasingly valued in the technology industry. Because the contest drew participants from different programmes, it also let students from varied academic backgrounds compare their approaches and learn from one another.
Events like Pixel Perfection are part of Apeejay’s effort to complement academic instruction with activities that build practical skills and confidence. By giving students platforms to showcase their talent, AIMETC aims to prepare them for careers in a fast-changing digital landscape.
