The Federation for World Academics’ (FWA) annual conclave themed “Leveraging Lockdown Learnings: Implications on Academia & Industry” was held recently at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.

With eminent Vice Chancellors, Directors, Senior Academicians and Senior Representatives from Media, NSDC, NASSCOM, PHDCCI, AICTE, UGC, AIU and NBA from across India in attendance at the event, the conclave was about sharing knowledge, experiences, challenges and opportunities in India’s Education System.

Based on research and concrete analysis by Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) Education Impact, a body that ranks more than 1,000 institutions across the country, Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi received ‘The Best Design Institute for Nurturing Innovation & Design Thinking’ award presented by Professor K.K. Aggarwal, Chairman of National Board of Accreditation (NAAC).

Highlighting the unprecedented challenges, positive solutions, issues and impact of the National Education Policy (NEP), especially in higher educational institutes, experts at the conclave deliberated upon the way forward for creating a growth-led environment for students.

“Design is a thought process, not skill oriented. Design is universal, it knows no boundaries, has no caste, creed or religion. Design is growth…forever innovating- exploring-adapting-solving and moving forward.”

-Ms. Reetu Betala, Founder Director, Advisor Design Education, Apeejay Institute of Design
