AI, cloud technologies poised to generate 46 million jobs for Indian small businesses by 2030

Small businesses that are adopting AI and cloud-enabled emerging technologies in India are likely to unlock up to Rs 1.6 trillion in annual productivity gains and support 45.9 million jobs by 2023, according to the report by Amazon Web Services. 

The survey conducted by global professional services firm Accenture, highlights that the jobs are expected to be created across the healthcare, education and agriculture sectors by 2023, representing nine per cent of total jobs in the country.

Moving to cloud can improve access to education, facilitate remote medical conditions, enhance precision agriculture, and more, which contribute to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). 

The report reveals that small businesses in India can help unlock Rs 1.1 trillion in annual productivity benefits in agriculture. In the healthcare sector, cloud-enabled small businesses can help unlock Rs 199.5 billion in annual productivity benefits. While in the education sector, cloud-enabled small businesses will provide 99 million students in India with e-learning solutions by 2030.
