Adventure Camp: A fun-filled day with stimulating activities

Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad Sector 21 D, has recently organised a fun-filled adventure camp on the school premises for the students. The aim was to create an environment where young learners can discover their abilities, and emerge as responsible individuals.

During the adventure camp, students enjoyed a variety of stimulating activities including Commando net magical maze hopscotch sport climbing, Zipline commando crawl, Hamster wheel mowgli walk, Sport climbing, Tire mess, Burma bridge, Double rope bridge, Hippity Hop, race dragon move, Horizontal crawl and Earth ball.

These activities helped in inculcating leadership skills among the students as they learned to capitalise on each team member’s strength for the best outcome.

Shubh Saxena, a student of class 7 said, “I felt so good when I was in the adventure camp. The games were so fun and my favourite activity was the commando net.”

Another student, Shaurya Dhankar of class 9 expressed, “The adventure camp was an awesome experience and after 2 years of lockdown it felt even more fun.”

The event helped the students to enhance their confidence and self-esteem to overcome their fears in a protected environment. Overall, it was a joyful and memorable day for the students that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Expressing her views, Ms. Priti Wason, Principal of the School said, “Camps give children the adequate playtime that they require. Playtime not only offers children the tools to entertain themselves but also builds friendship and social skills. Children learn to set their own boundaries, interact with one another, determined to be actively involved in activities as a team. Our children enjoyed the beautiful moments with their peers as could be seen in the smiles, laughter, positivity, and happiness that marked the vibrant atmosphere of the camp.”
