Summer camps play a vital role in a child’s overall development by providing opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. They encourage creativity, teamwork, communication, confidence, and physical fitness through engaging, hands-on experiences. Keeping this objective in mind, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, successfully organised two enriching 10-day summer camps: “Dabble with Paint” for Pre-primary students and “Fun Games” for Primary students.

The Dabble with Paint was specially designed to nurture creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills among young learners. Through a variety of art and craft activities, children explored different techniques using simple and easily available materials. Students enthusiastically participated in strip pasting art, cotton and tip painting, fan folding, bottle printing, blow printing, potato stamping, paper crushing art, clay play, and several other creative projects. These engaging activities provided a joyful platform for self-expression while enhancing concentration, coordination, and aesthetic appreciation.

Simultaneously, the Fun Games offered an exciting blend of learning and recreation for primary students. The camp focused on promoting motor development, improving hand-eye coordination and body balance, strengthening social and communication skills, and building confidence through interactive games and activities. Students actively took part in balancing ball challenges, crawling races, arranging blocks, jumping through hula hoops, counting ball games, musical chairs, and fun with shapes. Activities such as cup pyramid challenges, clay fun, tunnel crossing, and balancing games kept the children energetic, engaged, and eager to learn throughout the camp.

The concluding days of both camps were filled with excitement and celebration. The “Dabble with Paint” camp culminated in a vibrant exhibition of students’ artwork, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm. An interactive live art session involving parents added a special touch to the event, allowing families to celebrate and encourage the young artists. Meanwhile, the grand finale of the “Fun Games” camp featured a series of enjoyable games for parents and children to participate in together, creating memorable moments of laughter and bonding.

Parents appreciated the school’s initiative and enthusiastically supported the activities, making the camps even more meaningful. The overwhelming participation and positive response reflected the success of both programmes in fostering creativity, confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and holistic development. Through these thoughtfully curated summer camps, the school once again demonstrated its commitment to providing enriching learning experiences that make education both enjoyable and impactful.
