According to American author John Maxwell, a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. At a spectacular ceremony in Apeejay School, Nerul students were entrusted with duties and responsibilities as office-bearers to become motivated leaders.

The ceremony for electing the Prefectorial board was held on August 18.  The proceedings began with a formal address by Principal Monika Arora who inspired the appointed prefectorial team members with her speech. She also welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Retired Lt Col Virendra Singh Yadav. Mr. Rakesh Joshi, Regional Director Academics at Apeejay, also graced the occasion.

He shared his insight on being a Prefect during his school years.

The newly elected School Prefects were honoured with their badges and the flag which was followed by the oath-taking ceremony. Students promised their loyalty and sincerity towards their role.

The event ended with students Debotree Malik and Nimisha Chandrashekhar of class 12 singing the school song.

“The Investiture Ceremony is one of the most important events at Apeejay as it is a major step in creating leaders at school. This year, we saw budding leaders take charge and I am sure that as prefects, our students will not only learn leadership but empathy and collaborative teamwork. I wish them the very best for the forthcoming year.”
