At the heart of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, lies a tradition that not only brings together the faculty and students in a unique bond but also marks the auspicious start of the academic year. The first day of the session is a special one, steeped with rituals that are both heart-warming and solemn, signifying a fresh start and the promise of new learning.

The day began with the entire school gathering in the auditorium for the morning assembly, a cherished ritual that felt almost sacred. The assembly was more than just a routine; it was a moment of unity, reflection, and inspiration. It kicked off with a prayer, setting a serene tone for the day. The importance of starting the day with a prayer cannot be overstated — it’s a moment of calm and spirituality, offering a fresh perspective and a clear mind.

Following the prayer, the assembly moved on to thoughts for the day and the news, offering students a dose of daily wisdom and keeping them informed of the world around them. A welcome speech by the students added a personal touch, making the assembly not just a formal event but a platform for student voices.

A Warm Welcome from the Principal

Mr AK Sharma, the Principal, took the stage to welcome the students to the new session. His words were not just a formality but a heartfelt wish for the students to have a happy start and a year filled with great learning. His address underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing minds and spirits, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.

The assembly was followed by a havan ceremony in the school’s quadrangle, a ritual steeped in tradition and spirituality. The havan is a powerful symbol of purification and blessings, involving offerings to the sacred fire accompanied by the recitation of mantras. This ritual signifies the school’s wish for the well-being and success of its students and staff, invoking divine blessings for the session ahead.

Both students and faculty participated in the ceremony, offering samagri (sacred offerings) to the fire, a gesture that signifies surrender to the divine and seeking blessings. The ceremony is not just about the ritual but the communal experience, fostering a sense of belonging and collective goodwill among the participants.

As the ceremonies concluded, the air at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, was filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement. The events of the day were a reminder of the school’s values and its commitment to holistic education. It was a reaffirmation that every student’s journey through the academic year would be supported by tradition, unity, and a quest for knowledge.

As the school steps into a new session, the rituals of the first day serve as a beacon, guiding the students and faculty toward a year of learning, growth, and achievement. It’s these traditions that make the Apeejay experience unique, weaving together the fabric of academic life with the threads of cultural heritage and communal spirit.
