A spiritually uplifting atmosphere marked the beginning of the new academic session at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, as the institution organised a sacred Havan ceremony to welcome newly admitted students and invoke divine blessings for a successful academic journey. The ceremony reflected the college’s long-standing tradition of combining cultural values with academic excellence, offering students an auspicious start to a new chapter in their lives.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the faculty members, who offered samidha into the holy fire while praying for the students’ bright future, academic success, personal well-being, and holistic development. The sacred rituals created a serene and positive environment, encouraging students to begin their higher education with optimism, confidence, and a sense of purpose.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra warmly welcomed the new students and congratulated them on choosing Apeejay College of Fine Arts as the destination for pursuing their higher education. She remarked that the students had taken an important step towards building a promising future and becoming responsible professionals equipped with knowledge, creativity, and values.

Dr. Dhingra highlighted that the college continues to flourish under the visionary ideals of the institution’s Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, and the dynamic leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, along with the inspiring guidance of Dr. Neha Berlia, Director, Family Business Board, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Lead, Education Vertical, Office Bearer, Apeejay Education, and Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University. She stated that their unwavering commitment to quality education has enabled the institution to achieve remarkable success across diverse academic, cultural, and creative fields.

Sharing insights into the college’s academic strengths, Dr. Dhingra informed students that nearly 70 per cent of the faculty members are highly qualified Ph.D. holders, each bringing more than two decades of rich teaching experience. She emphasised that the institution provides an ideal learning environment where students receive not only quality academic instruction but also mentorship that nurtures innovation, critical thinking, and professional excellence.

She further highlighted the wide range of opportunities available to students beyond the classroom. From sports, music, dance, fine arts, applied arts, and multimedia to participation in district, state, national, and international competitions, the college actively encourages students to explore their talents and develop into well-rounded individuals. Such initiatives, she noted, play a vital role in fostering confidence, leadership, creativity, and holistic personality development.

The ceremony concluded on a heartwarming note as Dr. Neerja Dhingra and the faculty members showered flower petals on the newly admitted students, symbolising their blessings and extending their best wishes for a joyful, enriching, and memorable academic journey. The gesture beautifully reflected the institution’s culture of warmth, encouragement, and inclusivity.

The sacred Havan ceremony not only marked the commencement of a new academic session but also reaffirmed Apeejay College of Fine Arts’ commitment to providing an education that blends academic excellence with cultural values, creativity, and character building. It set a positive tone for a year filled with learning, innovation, artistic exploration, and personal growth.
