A heartfelt tribute to mothers through words, music, and gratitude

Apeejay School, Noida, conducted a special morning assembly to celebrate Mother’s Day, paying tribute to the immeasurable love, care, and sacrifices of mothers. The thoughtfully curated programme highlighted the invaluable role mothers play in nurturing, guiding, and shaping the lives of their children while encouraging students to express gratitude and appreciation towards them. 

The assembly commenced with a solemn prayer that created a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. This was followed by the ‘thought of the day’, which beautifully emphasised the importance of acknowledging and valuing mothers for their unconditional love and constant support. Students then presented the national, international, and sports News, along with the weather report, keeping the audience informed and engaged.

Adding an educational element to the programme, students introduced the ‘word of the day’ and conducted a phonetic drill aimed at improving pronunciation and language skills. A meaningful talk accompanied by a motivational movie message further reinforced the significance of respecting mothers and recognising their selfless contributions in everyday life. The presentation inspired students to cherish and appreciate the countless ways in which mothers positively influence their families.

One of the highlights of the assembly was a soulful musical presentation that touched the hearts of the audience and beautifully captured the emotions associated with Mother’s Day. The instrumental performance added grace and warmth to the occasion, creating a memorable experience for everyone present. Through music and thoughtful expressions, students conveyed heartfelt gratitude and admiration for mothers everywhere.

The school’s Vice-principal, Ms Puneeta Bhasin, appreciated the sincere efforts and confidence displayed by the students of Class VI D in conducting the assembly with enthusiasm and sensitivity. Addressing the gathering, Ms Bhasin encouraged students to support their mothers in daily household responsibilities and to always acknowledge their love, care, and dedication with respect and gratitude.   

The assembly concluded on a reflective and emotional note, successfully conveying the true essence of Mother’s Day. The programme not only celebrated mothers but also instilled in students a deeper sense of respect, empathy, and appreciation for the countless sacrifices mothers make in shaping their children’s lives and futures.
