A heartfelt tribute to Apeejay’s Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul’s legacy

Apeejay School, Nerul, joyfully observed Founder’s Day in honour of the 104th birth anniversary of Dr. Stya Paul Ji, the cherished Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education. Dr. Stya Paul, a distinguished industrialist, educationist, freedom fighter, and philanthropist, played a pivotal role in establishing the foundation for the Apeejay Stya Group and the Apeejay Education. The occasion was characterised by solemnity, reverence, and a profound sense of pride in perpetuating his enduring legacy.

The special program commenced with a soulful prayer, setting the tone for the day. The school community gathered to pay floral tribute to Dr. Stya Paul, symbolising their respect and gratitude for his vision and contribution to education. The school choir impressed everyone with devotional bhajans, and the school felicitated the recipients of the Dr. Stya Paul Award for Human Values and winners of the ATSE scholarship.

Mr. P Subhash, Prinicipal of Apeejay School, Nerul, shared a heartfelt message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Stya Group and Apeejay Svran Group, and Dr Paul’s daughter and only child. The message highlighted Dr. Stya Paul’s positive thinking, resilience, and dedication. Mr. Subhash also emphasised the school’s commitment to uphold these values and continue Dr. Stya Paul’s mission.

The celebrations included a patriotic dance performance by pre-primary students, a speech by the Head Girl about Dr. Stya Paul’s core values, and a dance drama portraying his life as a true karmayogi. The Head Boy concluded the program with a vote of thanks, and the event ended with the national anthem.

Similarly, Apeejay School, Tanda Road celebrated this day with great fervour and reverence. The event, graced by Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, Principal of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, commenced the auspicious day with a floral tribute to Dr. Stya Paul, which was followed by a rendition of his favourite bhajan and a captivating video portraying his extraordinary journey.

Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra addressed the gathering, sharing a message from Ms. Sushma Paul Berlia. One of the highlights was the presentation of the Dr. Stya Paul Award for Human Values to Arnav Chopra and Gurvir Singh Mann, who were awarded for exemplifying deep human values and integrity.

Furthermore, the Pre-Primary Wing engaged in various creative activities, aligning with World Smile Day and World Animal Day. Students from other classes also participated in activities that resonated with the teachings of Dr. Stya Paul, fostering values and nurturing future leaders.

The celebration culminated with a mesmerising performance by the students and the rendition of the national anthem, filling the air with a sense of pride and unity.
