Apeejay Schools celebrate Founder’s Day with reverence and a pledge to uphold Dr. Stya Paul’s vision

In the heart of Apeejay School, Noida, the spirit of the school’s motto, “Soaring High is My Nature,” resonated as the school celebrated the 104th birth anniversary of its beloved Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul. The celebration aimed to honour and carry forward the enduring legacy of the visionary and humble leader.

The day began with a heartfelt shradhanjali and a soul-stirring bhajan offered by the Primary Department, reflecting on the life and contributions of Dr. Stya Paul. These moments of remembrance kick-started the day filled with inspiration and gratitude.

A thought-provoking quote from Ms. Ritu Kohli, Principal of Apeejay School, Noida, set the tone for the day. In her impassioned address, she emphasised the values of integrity, perseverance, and the pursuit of knowledge, resonating with the school’s motto.

The celebrations also witnessed cultural programmes that showcased the diverse talents within the Apeejay community. Dance, jugalbandi, and inspirational music left the audience spellbound, highlighting the belief that true education encompasses the arts and culture.

A pinnacle moment was the presentation of the distinguished Dr. Stya Paul Award and ATSE, recognising exceptional commitment to the school community. The winners received resounding applause, acknowledging their invaluable contributions.

Simultaneously, students engaged in captivating math activities. Each class participated in a unique mathematical endeavour, enhancing their understanding in an interactive manner.

In class 6, students demonstrated their ingenuity by crafting intricate ornaments using mathematical shapes, merging artistry with mathematical concepts. Class 8 students explored the aesthetic side of mathematics, creating visually appealing A3-sized table mats that not only demonstrated mathematical principles but also served as vibrant additions to their surroundings. Meanwhile, the students of class 10 delved into the world of geometry by engaging in curve stitching within polygons, enhancing their understanding of spatial relationships. The senior students of class 12 applied strategic thinking and logical reasoning as they tackled Sudoku puzzles, showcasing their prowess in mathematical problem-solving. These hands-on activities not only enriched their mathematical understanding but also made learning an interactive and enjoyable experience.

As the day concluded, the promise of another year of learning, growth, and achievement hung in the air. The echoes of “Soaring High is My Nature” inspired all to strive for greater heights in the pursuit of knowledge.

Similarly, Apeejay School, Model Town in Jalandhar celebrated Founder’s Day remembering Dr. Stya Paul’s rich contribution to the field of education, and how his grit and determination led him to fight all obstacles. Mr. Malkiat Singh, Principal of Apeejay School, Model Town; Ms. Namrata Sharma, Headmistress of Apeejay School, Model Town and Ms. Nidhi Ghai, Incharghe of Apeejay School, Model Town lit the ceremonial lamp and offered floral tributes. The school choir presented Dr. Stya Paul’s favourite bhajans, adding a spiritual dimension to the occasion.

A beautiful Kathak recital by the students was the soul of the event, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the school. Further, the prestigious Dr. Stya Paul Award for Human Values was announced, recognising students who exemplify the values upheld by the founder.

In the middle category, Shaleen Kalra of class 7 was announced as the proud recipient, and in the secondary category, Taresh Datta was acknowledged for his outstanding contributions.

The proud parents of the students graced the occasion, making it a truly community-oriented celebration. The event concluded with a sense of pride and commitment to the values Dr. Stya Paul instilled in the Apeejay community.
