A mother’s contribution in a child’s life cannot be measured. She is the building block of one’s life and is the very avatar of God in our lives. To celebrate the love and support of a mother in lieu of Mother’s Day, a special assembly was held at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. The assembly was conducted by the students of classes 4-A and 4-B respectively.
Keeping in mind the traditions, Goddess Saraswati was worshiped before the event. The assembly commenced with the school choir presenting a prayer dedicated to the goddess of knowledge and seeked the blessing of wisdom from her. The students then conducted a unique talk show in which each participant discussed one special quality of their mother. The students also showcased their love and affection through beautiful thoughts and poems.
The highlight of the assembly was a heart touching skit based on the bond between children and their mothers. The assembly concluded with a special dance performance celebrating mothers and their endless contributions. The mother’s in the audience shed many tears as their children presented a lovely homage to God’s most precious creation: Maa or mother.
Similarly, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri also concurs that it is impossible to measure a mother’s contribution in a child’s life. Thus, celebrating this everlasting bond of love and affection between a mother and child, the school too held a special assembly for the heartious occasion. The assembly was conducted by the students across classes 1 to 4 in the assembly hall.
The assembly commenced with the lighting of the lamp in front of goddess Saraswati’s idol to seek blessings and wisdom. The school choir presented a soulful prayer following which all students formally welcomed their mothers to the special assembly. Students also delivered short speeches expressing love and emotions for their mothers.
All the students showcased their affection by reciting heartfelt poems while mothers in the audience enjoyed the day as they played various interesting one-minute games. They also prepared delicious snacks without using flame and the students savoured the delicacies. Some mothers also presented solo dance performances. However, the highlight of the assembly was a group dance presentation by mothers that won the hearts of all in the audience. The participation of mothers was quite enthusiastic and students were mesmerised watching their mothers performing on stage. The assembly proved to be a memorable day for one and all.
Principal, Mr. Rudrendra Basak mentioned, “I would like to thank all the mothers who graced this event by their presence. Today, I feel blessed to have this opportunity to thank you all. A mother’s love has always been a sustaining force for a family. It is a great joy to see a mother’s integrity, compassion and intelligence reflected in her children. She is a big reason for everything we get in our lives, and she is the most precious person. A mother finds her happiness in our happiness. It is the most blissful part of our life when she smiles.”
He further added, “She is the person who teaches us how to stand on our own feet and it is again she who taught us how to learn from our mistakes. She is always there to help her child selflessly without expecting anything in return .Everyone feels more relaxed and peaceful with their mother and there is no substitute for this. Every child should respect his mother and cherish her presence in life.”
