Apeejay School, Saket, marked the birthday of Mrs Berlia, Chairman of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University and Chairman of Apeejay Education, with a special assembly centred on the values that guide Apeejay Education.

The celebration brought together students and staff to reflect on the place of truth, integrity, compassion and respect in everyday life. The assembly recognised her leadership and the importance given to human values in the Apeejay Education philosophy of education.

Values at the heart of the celebration

Students took part in the assembly through speeches, words of wisdom, a thought for the day and soulful songs. Each presentation focused attention on the ideals of truth, integrity, compassion, respect, excellence and service. Together, these contributions gave the occasion a clear message about the kind of values education seeks to nurture.

A collective pledge was another important part of the programme. Students and staff reaffirmed their commitment to these ideals, turning the themes of the assembly into a shared promise. The pledge reflected the emphasis placed on practising these values, not merely speaking about them during a celebration.

A message for the Apeejay family

A personalised message from Mrs Berlia to the Apeejay family was read out during the assembly. It reminded everyone that education is about more than academic achievement. It also involves nurturing individuals who are responsible, compassionate and guided by strong values.

The programme featured a special video highlighting Mrs Berlia’s journey and contributions. This offered another perspective on the person whose birthday the school was celebrating.

The assembly concluded with the distribution of chocolates, adding a moment of joy and sharing to the occasion. Beyond the birthday celebration, the programme reinforced a central idea of Apeejay Education: Academic learning and human values belong together in the development of young people.
