Vacations are a time of freedom from tensions, offering ample opportunities to pursue hobbies and savour life to the fullest with loved ones. Living under the warmth of family is a profound blessing, and vacations provide the perfect setting to experience that feeling. Reflecting on our recent winter vacations, it was a joyous celebration filled with humanity.
During this break, I learned to explore and effectively manage my time, balancing academic preparations and pursuing personal interests. With tests scheduled throughout the vacations, boredom was never a factor. Every minute felt utilised, thanks to the guidance of my mentors.

The festivities of Lohri added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. Engaging in practices for the annual day allowed me to connect with friends and teachers, fostering a sense of camaraderie even during the break.
Yet, amidst the joy, I couldn’t ignore the less fortunate. While going for a ride, I witnessed children on the streets, lacking the warmth of family, shivering in the cold. Their smiles seemed stolen, and their little hearts beat with tears. Touched by their plight, I proposed donating to them. My mother enthusiastically supported the idea, acknowledging the pain these children endured surviving in harsh circumstances.
At a red light, we encountered them trying to sell items in the bitter cold. While we enjoyed the warmth of heaters, these children were trying to make a living in the open. When we donated clothes and essentials to the needy children, their blue lips seemed to smile, emanating satisfaction from the depths of their hearts.
These experiences made my winter vacations unforgettable. Witnessing the genuine smiles of those children, even in the face of adversity, was the most cherished moment. In conclusion, I hope for a world where everyone has enough to meet their needs, and each person enjoys a long and happy life.
