Knowing German becomes equally crucial to be able to communicate with everyone and thereby gain relevant opportunities. The cost of living in the country can also be very high so students need to make an informed decision.

From course effectiveness to cultural differences and safety, there are a lot of issues that need one’s attention before zeroing in on a university. Dr Singh advises the following:

*First, identify your interest and re-evaluate your potential and skills before applying for study abroad programmes to determine your eligibility.

*Do thorough research about the universities you are applying to — interact with your peers and the college alumni to know every detail. It is recommended that you opt for top-ranked universities for quality education and thereby a secure future.

*No matter what career path you aim for, only completing a course is not enough. You have to keep yourself updated with the latest developments and upskill accordingly. That will determine your success, Dr Singh suggests.
