A virtual ceremony was organised on June 7, 2021 on the pious occasion of the 11th Punya Tithi of our beloved Founder Chairman, Dr Stya Paul.

Dr. Stya Paul, eminent industrialist, educationist, philanthropist and freedom fighter, provided the foundation and inspiration for the emergence of the Apeejay Stya Group and the Apeejay Education Society as trusted symbols of quality and excellence in the country’s industrial and educational landscape.

A pioneering entrepreneur with a far-sighted vision of the future, Dr. Stya Paul was instrumental in the rise of the Apeejay Group as one of the biggest industrial houses of independent India, and was a leading architect of the country’s emergence as a self-reliant industrial superpower, founded on the strength of Indian capability and enterprise. As Chairman Emeritus, he guided the Apeejay Stya Group – a privately and closely-held leading Indian industrial and investment House to become one of the major corporate houses of the country, with several alliances, collaborations and significant presence in Europe, Middle East and East Asia.

For those of us who had the privilege of knowing him and working with him, he was a father figure to us all – not just professionally, it was reflected in the personal care and concern he had for each and every member of the vast Apeejay Stya family.

He left for his heavenly abode in 2010, leaving behind a lasting legacy of educational excellence and nation building. He was 90 years old when he left us, yet till his last day, he was fully alert, always ready to learn something new everyday, always retaining his child-like zeal and curiosity for discovering new things.
Even though physically he is not present with us today, his legacy continues in the form of the institutions that he built. Each of these institutions are living monuments that stand for the values and pursuit of excellence that Dr Stya Paul cherished. The true tribute to this Karmyogi would be by trying our best to take these institutions from strength to strength.

It is not a disgrace if dreams are unfulfilled, but it is, if we have no dreams to dream!
