Schools play a multifaceted role in grooming children, shaping them into well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the future. Through a combination of academic instruction, social interaction, emotional support, physical activity, creative expression, leadership opportunities, technological education, and personal development, this should provide a comprehensive environment that nurtures all aspects of a child’s growth.

“This holistic approach ensures that children not only excel academically but also develop the essential life skills needed to thrive in society,” shares Sudipta Chattoraj whose son Subhronil cleared his XII from Apeejay School, Nerul this year.

Read on to learn how teachers here foster a sense of purpose and direction for students here.

What are Subhronil’s goals?

He took PCM with Economics in his class XI. Now after taking his Boards exams, he wants to pursue Computer Science or IT engineering. He plans to study in Mumbai in a good college.

How has your son’s journey been at school?

So far my younger son Subhronil is concerned, his entire personality got groomed due to all the efforts put in by the teachers here. He has received immense support from all the staff here since his junior KG days.

How has your experience been with the teachers?

It has been brilliant. My experience at Apeejay has been so memorable that more than my son, I will miss the association with this school. Both my boys have studied from here so it’s been a pretty long journey with this school and I will always hold onto all my recollections from here.

What kind of extracurricular activities did the school offer?

My elder son was always actively involved in sports till his last days at school. Subhronil has always been the most sought-after kid for organising and coordinating school events. His planning skills are so meticulous that all his teachers were always in awe of him. He was also a recipient of the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values; he was also the captain of the Nalanda house.

Why did you select Apeejay?

Once I was watching Bournvita Quiz Contest on TV and I saw the team from Apeejay doing impressively on it. Somehow my mind got so stuck there that I decided to enroll my children here. Later, during admission time, I wanted my child to go to a CBSE school. I was lucky that Apeejay follows a CBSE curriculum.

Do you believe that school is the second home for a child?

Honestly speaking I am extremely grateful to this school for giving me such honed and well-groomed boys. This school is growing manifold. We have witnessed so many wonderful things happening at school; they now have ACs in classrooms and the building is always undergoing renovation. I am sure it will only grow from strength to strength.
