Mr. Manoj Singh, Deputy General Manager at Fortis Hospital, has been a dedicated parent at Apeejay School, Saket, for 12 years. His sons, Vedant, a Class 12 student in the non-medical stream, and Siddhant, a Class 6 student, are excelling both academically and in their overall development. In this insightful conversation, he shares their journeys, aspirations, and the school’s role in shaping their futures.

What inspired Vedant to pursue the non-medical stream?
Vedant has always been excellent in Physics and Chemistry. His inspiration came from his uncle, an IITian, whose achievements sparked his interest in engineering and technology.

What role have the teachers played in his grooming?
The teachers at Apeejay School, Saket have played a pivotal role in Vedant’s growth. They have strengthened his knowledge in Science and other subjects, ensuring he performs well in academics. Beyond studies, they encourage active participation in extracurricular activities like public speaking and Model United Nations (MUN). The bond between teachers and students is strong, with teachers motivating students and addressing their queries promptly.

What are Vedant’s future aspirations?
Vedant aims to pursue a BTech in Computer Science, followed by an MBA, as he envisions a career in management.

What is his school life like?
Vedant enjoys taking part in public speaking activities and plays badminton in his free time, balancing academics and extracurriculars seamlessly.

And how is Siddhant performing in school?
Siddhant is excelling in academics, particularly in Mathematics. At times, I feel he is performing even better than his elder brother at the same age. Siddhant also loves football and has started exploring his creative side by learning the Tabla and Congo. Teachers regularly update me during PTMs, which assures me of Siddhant’s progress and holistic development.

Are you satisfied with the school?
Absolutely! The Principal is an excellent man—very humble and attentive to parents’ concerns. He acts on them promptly. Reflecting on my 12-year association with the school, I appreciate the institution’s consistent focus on academics, extracurricular activities, and nurturing creativity in students.
