Angel is a B Com Honours final year student at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar. She is a very active student, who participates in various extracurricular activities alongside her studies. In an informal interview, the student explains why ACFA is and will always be her first choice. Read edited excerpts:
So is the career decision taken?
I am still figuring things out. In school, back in the junior classes, I thought of pursuing Journalism but then my interests changed and I chose Commerce. At present, I would like to get a job in the finance sector.
Your favourite subjects at ACFA?
I like direct tax and income tax – these are interesting subjects. I was able to understand the concepts very quickly in these and could also solve the sums within minutes.
That means the teachers are doing a fine job?
All the teachers are doing a good job. Neeru mam and Vandana mam are my favourites.

What about your co-curricular achievements?
I have been a cadet in the National Service Scheme (NSS) for the past three years and since the past two years, I am a core team member in the Math forum. I am also the finance secretary at Student Welfare Association (SWA) Additionally, I frequently take part in inter and intra college activities.
Any sports interests?
I like badminton. However, it has been discontinued in my routine since school years. I like to dance too. But here at ACFA, I enjoy the rangoli making and business tycoon events.
What is the best thing about ACFA?
The staff is very good. I have lots of friends at college and I also like the infrastructure and environment here.
