‘The positive changes in my son’s personality are remarkable’

Can you share why you chose Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg for Parampal?

Actually, I am in a transferable job. When my son was in 8th grade, we got transferred from Patiala to Jalandhar. I enquired with my colleagues, and everyone praised Apeejay School. Many children of judicial officers were already studying there, so it had a good reputation. After visiting the school, meeting the teachers, and interacting with the vice principal, I was very impressed with the educational environment and co-curricular activities.

How has the school contributed to his overall development?

The school has played a significant role in his all-around personality development. Along with studies, he has improved his communication skills and confidence. He has become more expressive and open about his feelings and experiences, which is a big change for him as he is usually introverted.

Can you share any specific examples of his growth since joining Apeejay?

Yes, absolutely. He has started writing a story during the summer vacations, which was a pleasant surprise for us. He wrote 14 chapters on a dragon-themed show he liked, with dialogue and background narration. This creativity and expressiveness are new developments, and I believe the school’s environment has nurtured these traits in him.

How do you find the school’s approach to teaching and assessments?

The teachers and their methods are excellent. They ensure that students are well-prepared for assessments through revisions in school. They guide the students on what needs improvement and encourage them in areas where they are already excelling. This balanced approach reduces the burden on students and supports their learning process.

What are your thoughts on the co-curricular activities at Apeejay?

The school offers good sports facilities and various programmes in the auditorium. Although my son is not very active in these, he gains confidence by seeing his friends participate. The exposure to these activities has made him more open and interactive.

How has his relationship with his teachers been?

He has great respect for his teachers and follows their guidance diligently. The teachers at Apeejay are supportive and help him perform better by providing constructive feedback and encouragement. This has significantly boosted his confidence.

What future academic plans do you have for him?

Most likely, he will pursue Humanities and go for LLB, as we are in the legal profession. We believe Humanities is the best option for his career path.

Any final thoughts on your experience with Apeejay School?

We are really happy with his growth at Apeejay. The positive changes in his personality over the past two and a half years are remarkable. We are very thankful to the teachers and the entire institute for their efforts in nurturing his development. We are truly satisfied and happy with our decision to enrol him at Apeejay School.
