Noida school awards achievers
At its Appreciation Day, students were recognised for their academic accomplishments
‘To achieve great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.’ Sharing the same spirit, Apeejay School, Noida recently hosted an Appreciation Day ceremony to honour its talented students.
The event was held in the school’s auditorium. It was put together to recognise and commend the hard work, dedication and achievements of the students. School’s Principal, Mr AK Sharma and Vice Principal, Ms Amrita Hajela presented the young scholars with awards and certificates.
Ms. Neelam Chauhan, PGT Mathematics in the school, who coordinated for the event says, “It is a great honour for a student to be recognised and commended by their educators. Therefore, each year, we give away the prizes to our achievers. Students feel motivated to be on the stage and aspire to win the prizes in the upcoming academic sessions. For this year’s shortlist, we culled out the highest aggregate attained by students across sections. The school also honoured subject-wise toppers and further encouraged them.”
The highlight of the event was the awards bestowed for artistic skills. Students Aditya Singh Deo, Samriddhi Yadav and Ayanna Satya were felicitated in this category. Earlier this year, their paintings were also displayed in the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav, an art exhibition held in the school.
Mr. Sharma congratulated the students on this joyous occasion. He said, “It is only the beginning of many more remarkable feats.” He further shared with them anecdotes from his own school days highlighting the importance of perseverance and hard work in attaining one’s goals.
During the ceremony, the awardees stood tall beaming with confidence. At the closing of the day, they promised to reach greater heights and make their school, teachers and parents proud.
