Selecting the right school for your child is a crucial decision that can significantly influence their academic journey and future success. From preschool to the beginning of formal education, parents often dedicate countless hours researching online to find a school that supports holistic development. In addition to exploring websites and reviews, many parents also seek recommendations from trusted family members and friends to make a well-informed and thoughtful choice.
“My husband and I chose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, for my son, Aaryav, now in Class II, because I wanted a school that focused on academics and nurtured a child’s overall personality. I had heard positive feedback from people around me — how students from this school are confident, disciplined, and well-rounded. That convinced me it would be the right environment for my child to grow and succeed,” Deeksha shared.
In a candid interview, she talks about the positive changes in her son, among other things.
What kind of feedback did you receive from others before making the decision?
People spoke about how good the studies are, how caring the teachers are, and how well the parents and school work together. There’s a strong sense of cooperation. The school also focuses on personal growth, and I’ve seen that in my son. He’s grown emotionally and mentally this past year.
What improvements have you seen in your child?
He has always had good grasping power, but we didn’t pay much attention at home initially. Now, thanks to the teachers, he’s doing well. He scored excellent marks in Class I. Earlier, he was shy and hesitant, especially around teachers and other kids. But now, he confidently interacts with them. That change has been very heartening.
How does the school support co-curricular activities?
The school offers a great balance between academics and extracurriculars. My son actively participates in everything — whether it’s dance, music, or sports. Recently, he joined a multi-sports programme and is thoroughly enjoying it.
Is there a teacher who made a lasting impact?
Yes, definitely. His Class I teacher supported us a lot. During KG, he was a little distracted, but she helped him settle down and improve. Her support made a big difference in his learning.
What values has your son learnt at school?
He’s picked up discipline, good manners, and respectful behaviour. The environment at school encourages that. He used to be reserved, but now he’s opening up and participating more. Even my younger sister-in-law enrolled her child here after seeing our experience.

How supportive is the teacher-parent relationship?
Very supportive. I’m extremely satisfied. The teachers are approachable and cooperative. That bond with the teacher helped my son become more confident. I’ve been so impressed that I’ve recommended the school to my extended family as well.
As a parent, how involved are you in your child’s education?
I stay involved in his homework and classwork. I ensure he completes everything and also teach him values like respect and manners. The school encourages parents to be part of the child’s learning journey. If anything is missed, they inform us, and we ensure that it is done at home.
How would you describe your experience with the school?
It’s been excellent. I’m truly happy with how the school is shaping my child — academically, socially, and emotionally.
