Satisfied with daughter Ravya’s progress in Apeejay, Anna Gupta is now looking forward to enrolling her younger son Ahaan in Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. Anna’s daughter wrote the final exam for class 6 recently and will be promoted to class 7. In an interview, the mother, who is involved in her family business on electrical appliances, shared the interesting story behind choosing Apeejay. Edited excerpts:

What is it about Apeejay that got you interested?

Ravya started her preschool at Apeejay Mahavir Marg and was later shifted to Apeejay Model Town in class 1. There is a personal story behind choosing Apeejay for my daughter. When I was in college, I used to participate in zonal festivals and compete with Apeejay. As it turned out, Apeejay would win in most of the competitions. As a student, I was intrigued and curious to know what made Apeejay stand out all the time.

I moved to Jalandhar after marriage. When the time came to enroll my daughter in a school, I had a hard time finding the right option for her. But when I finally visited Apeejay, I was fascinated by the school ambience, its teachers, and the overall academic environment. Now, I am also planning to enroll my younger son Ahaan in Apeejay Mahavir Marg.

What kind of exposure did Ravya get in Apeejay Mahavir Marg and then in Apeejay Model Town?

In terms of exposure and confidence-building, I can say Apeejay Mahavir Marg lived up to our expectations fully. Ravya had gained immense confidence to get on stage any time and perform. At Apeejay Model Town too, Ravya’s personality has been developed further. The kids had to attend online classes for two years but not for once did the teachers make students feel like they were away from school and studying from home. There was something new to learn, including new activities or competitions every day that kept the children well engaged.

What sort of personality development have you noticed in Ravya?

Ravya can confidently interact with anybody and does not hesitate. She has no stage phobia. She has turned out to be a smart individual. At the same time, she is always eager to learn more. She wants to know the “why” behind any occurrence, which I think is very good.

What do you think of the teaching method in Apeejay?

The teachers explain concepts so well that I’ve never felt the need to make my own notes and assist my child in learning. Through various interactive methods, they put a lot of effort into ensuring all the concepts taught are clearly understood by the students. If someone has any doubt, the teachers are always available to help them.

Apeejay also focuses on inculcating human values and building harmony. What is your take on it?

My daughter is growing up in an inclusive environment. They celebrate all kinds of festivals observed by all communities. Students are also equally excited to perform in all such events.
