It’s that time of the year again when the school underwent a magical transformation and became a magical wonderland. Sparkling fairy lights illuminate the air, accompanied by the contagious laughter of students fully immersed in the joy of frosty festivities. You guessed it right! Minerva was back and the students embarked on a journey where there were endless possibilities for games and activities.

The best part? No one was left behind and didn’t enjoy it. There is something for everyone — from talent hunt to tambola. As the annual winter carnival at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park unfolded, it brought with it the spirit of celebration. The carnival on December 23, 2023 began at 10:30 am and lasted till 6:30 pm and left everyone wanting more.

The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Lt Colonel Rajpal Singh (Retd), Director General of the Confederation of Sports and Recreation Industry, who added an extra layer of merriment to the festivities by playing in the games stalls and encouraging students.

A myriad of unexplored activities evoked a sense of excitement in everyone present. For those who have a special flair for fashion, the ramp walk competition showcased their exceptional style and confidence. The treasure hunt competition stole the spotlight, helping win the most skilled ones. This is not all. The carnival grounds held a great spirit while reflecting innate enthusiasm amongst many through its vibrant decorations and colourful stalls.

Visitors went to different stalls and participated in almost every game with great zeal. The successful participants also received a well-deserved prize. Some of the famous stalls were Catch the Candy, Stack the Cups, and Lucky 7. The carnival was well-organised and highly entertaining,” said the parents of Teyana Das studying in class V-B.

Students and parents created a vibrant atmosphere that was filled with joy and excitement. “It was a wonderful event. What I liked the most was the close involvement of parents along with all students” says the father of Vaahin, studying in KG-A. The flash-mob electrified the crowd in the most gratifying way along with the rhythmic beats of the DJ which added that swing to the carnival.

Another engaging activity — Blow the Candles. Here, the participants faced the challenge of extinguishing a set of seven lit candles with a single breath. This game required enough concentration and maintenance of focus until its completion. The parents of Basir, a student of class I, said that the carnival was really fun, especially for their son. We all had a lovely time. We are so happy to be part of Apeejay School. The carnival was fun-filled with numerous activities. Moreover, the musical event was full of talented kids.”

The carnival was not just any usual event but a power-packed winter carnival filled with rides, raffles, and mouth-watering delectables. This celebration of diversity created ever-lasting moments making it a resounding success. Minerva 2023 became a melting pot of cultures, talents, and shared experiences for students, teachers as well as parents.
