Knowledge Review ranks School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ASU among top 10 pharma institutes

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Apeejay Stya University (ASU), has been chosen among the top ten pharmacy institutes from across the country, by the renowned education magazine Knowledge Review.

Approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and University Grants Commission, the school offers career-focused pharmacy courses designed in collaboration with pharmaceutical organisations of repute. ASU is a pioneer in India with its research and development centre for pharmaceutical studies that ensures holistic and experiential learning for its students.

The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in 2012. It offers pharmacy programmes at various levels – Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma, and PhD. The school has two centres of excellence – the centre for Novel Drug Delivery System and Centre for Formulation Development and Analysis.

 It stands apart from other institutes due to its real-time industry projects, academic programmes based on technology, research, innovation, liberal arts and trans-disciplinary courses. It practices both the international credit-based system as well as the choice-based credit system. The school has faculties from reputed institutes with extensive industry experience, who are also involved in quality research and publications. The school’s Ph.D. students are also proud holders of numerous patents.

Several awards and accolades have been bestowed upon the university. It was recently awarded as the ‘Best Institute for Research and Development in India’ at the 27th B-School Affaire & Dewang Mehta National Education Awards 2019.

The school is supported by its Corporate Resource Centre for student placements and training. Their very own pharmaceutical companies also absorb students from the institute. A few of the major recruiters include Wipro, IDS Infotech Ltd., Jubilant, Piramal, Mylan, Medicare, Dr. Reddy, Pfizer, Dabur, Biocon, Sun Pharma, Fresenius Kabi, Netmed, etc.
