With an aim to teach kids about the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi recently organised a day of fun-filled activities. The kindergarten students enthusiastically participated in ‘Fruit Cocktail Party’. The young learners of the school brought fruits of their choice and decorated them creatively during the activity.

The objective of this event was to create awareness among children about consumption of different fruits on a regular basis.

While being introduced to the health benefits of seasonal fruits, the tiny tots were encouraged to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables which provides a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre.

For this event, parents sent their wards loaded with fresh fruits in their tiffins. Teachers along with the children had a good time while preparing colourful fruit salad.

Through this activity children learned about different fruits, their texture and taste. Overall, it was a fruitful day for the young learners.

“We at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi have started inculcating healthy food habits in our students of classes Nursery to 12. To encourage healthy eating habits from a young age, all the classes have a 10 minute fruit break in the morning.”
