A good school plays a crucial role in shaping students’ overall development, providing them with a solid educational foundation, fostering their personal growth, and preparing them for a successful future. A good school provides platforms for participation in academic competitions, sports events, cultural activities, and community service, helping students discover and nurture their talents and interests.
It prepares students for higher education and future careers. It offers guidance and counseling services, assists students in college applications, and equips them with essential skills and knowledge required for success in their chosen paths.
And therefore, for parents like Anjali Monga and her entrepreneur husband Rakshit it was important that they send their son, Ayaan, to the best school in Jalandhar. As luck would have it, Rakshit is an alumnus of Apeejay School, Model Town. Hence, the duo didn’t have to look far and wide.
In an interview, the mother talks about her son’s tremendous progress since joining school among other things.
What made you choose Apeejay?
As I mentioned, my husband has studied at Apeejay School, Model Town. He only has good things to say about the school. He has such beautiful memories – of friends, teachers, and the fun times. We wanted the same for Ayaan. It was natural for us to send him to Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld.
There has been an amazing improvement in him. The credit for this goes to the teachers of this school. Ayaan never went to a play school because of the COVID-19 pandemic. When he joined the school he knew nothing; he couldn’t write and or even read. But the teachers really worked hard with him. And today, he is coping well in the class

How was the admission process?
We applied at the school in 2021. We went to school, there was a small interview for my husband and me. We met the principal. A few questions were asked from Ayaan. On the whole, the process was smooth. Once we cleared the interview, we completed the paperwork and it was smooth sailing.
How has your son been doing in school?
My son joined the school in LKG. He has recently gone to UKG. And in this last one, there has been an amazing improvement in him. The credit for this goes to the teachers of this school. Ayaan never went to a play school because of the COVID-19 pandemic. When he joined the school he knew nothing; he couldn’t write and or even read.
But the teachers really worked hard with him. Today, he can read and write. He is coping beautifully with the class. In fact, I would say my son is excellent in his studies. Even the teachers are all praise for him.

How are the teachers?
The fact that my son can read and write just after going to school for one year, says a lot about how brilliant the teachers are here. They take so much pains teaching each toddler and keeping pace with his/her learning; it is astounding.
His class teacher Dilroop Kaur is fantastic. She is extremely cooperative. She and I are in sync with each other when it comes to Ayaan’s learning.

Does your son participate in extracurricular activities?
You name it and he is there. I even paid a fee so that he could participate in the sports activities. He enjoys all of them. Ayaan is easy going and makes friends easily. He has so many of them. Every day he asks me when he can go to school and play with his friends.
What about his bond with the teachers?
It is amazing. He is not afraid of the teacher and speaks very fondly of her. He communicates with her openly and in my opinion is good. It will help him in his learning. We are very happy that our son is happy at this school.
