CBSE 12th girl toppers share how their parents played a crucial role in board exam preparation  

These achievers from Apeejay School International, Greater Noida, make their parents and school proud by securing top ranks.

Success is the ultimate goal for every student, whether it is achieving top grades, getting admission to prestigious universities, or landing their dream job. However, success requires dedication, perseverance, and hard work. There are no shortcuts to success, and it is often the result of countless hours of study, practice, and hard work. Students who put in their effort are more likely to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. This is why hard work is considered to be the key to success for students, and it is a lesson that can serve them well throughout their academic as well as professional lives.

The recent outstanding performance of students in the CBSE Class 12 Board results at Apeejay School International, Greater Noida, is a testament to the fact that hard work pays off. Tisha from the Commerce stream secured 96%, while Laya Mariam Babu and Aanya Garg from the Science stream secured 95.60% and 94.80%, respectively. These results demonstrate that when students are dedicated and work hard they can achieve remarkable success.

The toppers shared their success stories and the hard work they put in to achieve this goal. In an interview, Tisha, the school topper with 96%, revealed that she used to set a goal to complete a few important chapters of a subject each day. She focused on studying at least two subjects for 3-4 hours per day. “To gain a better understanding of the exam pattern and question types, I solved many sample papers, which boosted my confidence level,” she added.

When asked about her future plans, Tisha stated, “I dream of becoming a businesswoman. I want to pursue a profession that brings me challenges and satisfaction.” Tisha’s biggest inspiration throughout her academic journey has been her father, who she admires for his hard work and support.

For Science stream topper, Laya Mariam Babu, time management played a crucial role in  executing her studies. She gave equal importance to all the subjects and made sure to concentrate on each one. Laya also acknowledged the immense support and attention her parents gave her, especially during the boards. Her father used to make coffee for her every morning to help her stay energised and focused throughout the day.

To prepare for the Boards, she also took tuitions for Chemistry and Physics, which were the subjects she found the most challenging. Laya plans to pursue Forensic Sciences as it aligns with her interests in crimes, police work, and murders.

Another Science stream topper, Aanya Garg, who secured 94.80%, faced a few challenges whilepreparing for her CBSE Board exams in just one month after completing her pre-boards and JEE exams. However, she was determined to succeed and utilised her time effectively. She said, “I bought previous years’ questions book and NCERT books to prepare and made separate notebooks to solve important questions and take notes.”

Aanya’s parents were incredibly supportive and even sat with her during her late-night study sessions to help her stay focused. Aanya said, “I followed a strict study schedule, which included solving English sample papers for three hours, studying Physics and Chemistry after breakfast, taking a one-hour break with friends, and studying Math and solving NCERT questions in the evening.”

Aanya is now focusing on applying to different colleges to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. She acknowledges the support of her teachers and parents throughout this journey.

While congratulating the toppers on their outstanding results, Dr Sarita Pande, Principal of Apeejay School International, Greater Noida, praised them for their dedication and hard work.. The teachers also congratulated the students and expressed their pride in their achievements.
