Apeejay students make their school proud at skating zonal competition

In a remarkable display of talent and determination, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, stood out at the Skating Zonal Competition recently held at GGSSS Sector-5, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar. The school’s accomplished skating champions bagged a total of 27 medals, comprising Gold, Silver, and Bronze, across various categories.

The first day of the competition witnessed an outstanding performance in the girls’ category, resulting in winning a total of 17 medals– 2 Gold, 8 Silver, and 7 Bronze. Notable achievements included Rutvi Rakesh Mate of class 2 A (under-8) securing Bronze medals in the 500mtr and 1000mtr races, Amaira Aggarwal of class 3 A (under-11) earning a Silver in the 500mtr and Bronze in the 1000mtr races, Jahnavi Dave of class 9 B (under-17) achieving a prestigious Silver in the 500mtr and another Silver in the 1000mtr races, Sarah Arora of class 9 A (under-19) winning Silver in the 500mtr and Silver in the 1000mtr races, and Ayushi Chaudhary of class 9 A (under-19) receiving two Bronze medals in the 500mtr and 1000mtr races respectively.

In the quad category, Bhumi Bhardwaj of class 10 C (under-17) secured Silver in the 500mtr race and Bronze in the 1000mtr race, while Divita Kemkar of class 10-B (under-17) bagged Bronze in the 500mtr race, and Aasma Kapoor of class 12 D (under-19) and Aanya Lilani of class 11C (under-19) clinched Gold and Silver, respectively, in the 500mtr and 1000mtr races.

On the second day of the competition in the boys’ category, further glory was achieved with a total of 10 medals– 1 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze. Highlights included Ved Malik of class 3 A (under-8) securing Silver medals in both the 500mtr and 1000mtr races, Adarsh Chauhan of class 5 A (under-11) earning Silver in the 1000mtr race, Advik Agarwal of class 5 A (under-11) securing a Bronze in the 500mtr race and Saksham Angrish of class 9 C (under-19) receiving a Bronze in the 500mtr and a silver in the 1000mtr races.

Similarly, in the quad category, Aadiv Kumar of class 1C earned Bronze medals in both the 500mtr and 1000mtr races, and Pavitr Agarwal of class 12C won Bronze in the 500mtr race and a sensational Gold in the 1000mtr race.

Overall, the competition witnessed the showcase of outstanding talent and determination of the students. The school is immensely proud of its skating champions’ achievements and the hard work they put into honing their skills.
