Apeejay School, Saket host Impulse 2025, a global tech fest celebrating AI and innovation

This international inter-school computer festival brings together over 25 schools to explore AI, creativity, and coding brilliance

With the objective of igniting young minds with the spirit of technology and innovation, Apeejay School, Saket hosted Impulse 2025, an international inter-school computer fest. Drawing participation from 25 schools from across the globe, the event aimed at fostering passion for learning artificial intelligence,etc.

Inaugural Ceremony:

The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony in presence of the Chief Guest Mr Amit Trehan, Principal Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, Vice Principal Ms Ashu Khattar and an esteemed panel of judges.

Words of Wisdom

Taking the stage, Mr Amit Trehan, Co-Founder of Negentrophi AI, inspired the audience by emphasising what’s the future of artificial intelligence and its intersection with education, ethics, and purpose. “AI is not here to replace human creativity, it’s here to enhance it,” he stated. “As young learners, your challenge is to find purpose before tools. Know why you want to innovate. Because without direction, even the best technology may not serve you.”

He further recounted AI’s evolution and emphasised how newer roles such as robotic ethicists are emerging due to technological advancements. 

Delivering the welcome address, Dr Masih expressed his admiration for Mr Trehan’s professional journey. “It is rare to see someone who blends cutting-edge technology with philosophical insight. The idea behind Mr Trehan’s company, Negentrophi AI drawing from the concept of entropy and system order is truly inspiring,” he said.

A Fest of Ideas:

A surprise element in the ceremony was an AI-generated video featuring global icons like Elon Musk speaking about ‘Impulse’, followed by a live demonstration by Adam Bashneen, a student from Apeejay School, Saket, who created original music on the spot using Suno.ai while engaging audience via his innovative creations. 

Creativity Meets Code

Post-inauguration, the participants engaged in five unique competitions including Digi@Act; Click@Shot; Movie@Edit; Artistic@Press; Code@Python.

Celebrating Excellence

The closing session featured a video montage of the day’s highlights, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms Ashu Khattar, Vice Principal. “From debugging logistics to handling runtime surprises, our volunteers were the real backend of this fest,” she said.

She also added, “Participants, may your curiosity never face a stack overflow. Keep coding. Stay curious. And may the source be with you.”

Overall Winner

Finally, the most awaited moment was there when the winners of different competitions were announced. The host school, Apeejay School, Saket, bagged several positions. In addition, Apeejay School, Noida, Apeejay School, Pitampura, Apeejay Svran Global School, Apeejay School, Faridabad, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park and Apeejay School, Greater Noida also bagged titles.

Participating students shared their excitement after the results were announced. From Digi@ActApeejay School, Saket, the students who bagged second place shared, “I was shocked that I had a trophy in my hand. I was very excited and could not wait to show it to my mother.”

The Code@Python winners from Apeejay School, Pitampura, who won first place, shared, “It was kind of expected. We’ve done such questions before in Class 11, and though we forgot a little, it wasn’t too difficult to recall.”

In Artistic@Press, Apeejay School, Saket who won 2nd position recalled, “We’ve been preparing since May. From online meetings to practicing our mic presentation, it was a process. Winning feels rewarding.” One of them added, “This was my fourth time competing, and we’ve always won something. It feels great to be recognised again.” Apeejay School, Saket also won both the Movie@Edit and Click@Shot competitions.

Finally, as Ms Mamta Ghai, Incharge of Impulse 2025 and HOD Computer Science, Apeejay School, Saket aptly summed up, “Impulse was initiated with the vision of providing students a dynamic platform to showcase their technological skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities and empowering young minds to innovate, collaborate, and lead through the power of technology.”
