Apeejay Stya University (ASU) in Gurugram has set itself apart, being the first Liberal Arts University in the country. ASU, focussed on research and technology, provides a dynamic and unique academic system which includes key features like an innovative evaluation system; freedom to choose your degree and number of credits; a flexible graduation pace; among other things. And these uniquely innovative approaches towards holistic education have led to delivering excellence.
Therefore, Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram, recently bagged the ‘Education Icon Awards 2023’ for Excellence in the Category of Innovation in Liberal Arts Education. The award was given by Radio City 91.1FM.
Since its establishment, ASU has aimed to bring a transformation in the society through value-based education, man-making and nation-building by blending the dual identities of a technology and research-based university with a Liberal Arts institution. The University has nine schools and three Centres namely, the Center for Liberal Arts, Design Innovation Centre and Apeejay Incubation Centre approved by MSME. All these schools place their students for internship and hands-on training in the concerned industries.

“Yet another feather in the cap of Apeejay Stya University in winning the Education Icon Awards 2023! The award is a recognition of our efforts to emerge as a leader in providing Liberal Arts Education in the country. Apeejay Stya University is a seat of global learning that offers rich opportunities for innovative teaching-learning, creativity and research across disciplines.”
-Professor Raj S Dhankar, Vice-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University
