For Divya Damudre, choosing Apeejay School, Nerul for her son Hridansh came down to a reputation built over four decades. With Hridansh now in Class 2, Section D, Divya reflects on what convinced her family, and the quiet but meaningful transformation she’s watched in her son since.

What made you consider this school for your child in the first place?

Apeejay School, Nerul, has a proven track record of over four decades of academic excellence. Through alumni and acquaintances, we have seen how students from Apeejay have not only excelled academically and achieved success in their professional lives, but have also grown into confident, well-rounded individuals grounded in discipline and strong values. In today’s fast-paced world, we believe these qualities provide a strong foundation for a secure and successful future for our child. Hence, Apeejay was the obvious choice for us.

The school has also gained recognition for the spectacular events it has hosted and participated in. We have noticed that the campus and infrastructure are undergoing significant improvements, with the introduction of modern technology and upgraded facilities. Most importantly, we were impressed by the teachers and mentors at Apeejay, who are highly dedicated and proficient in their respective fields.

How important are the school’s academic approach and teaching methods in your decision?

Academics are one of our foremost criteria, as they lay the foundation for developing strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. We found that the teaching methods at Apeejay are thoughtfully designed to provide conceptual clarity to young minds. Concepts are explained through visuals, stories, and graphical representations, making learning engaging and easy to understand.

The teachers take great effort to make the learning process enjoyable and meaningful, often stepping outside the classroom to give children practical exposure. It is wonderful to see children look forward to coming to school and developing strong, long-lasting bonds with their teachers.

How important are factors such as extracurricular activities, sports, arts, or other opportunities in the school?

Sports, arts, special-interest clubs, and various extracurricular activities not only provide a healthy break from academics but also play an important role in building character and confidence. Events such as the Annual Sports Day, Appreciation Day, and Carnival provide a wonderful platform for children to discover and showcase their hidden talents.

Through group activities, children learn teamwork, cooperation, and social skills, while individual events encourage them to express themselves and perform with confidence. All of these experiences contribute significantly to personality development and help children develop essential life skills.

What role did the school’s values and approach to the overall development of children play in your choice?

The school has always lived up to the values it preaches. Its philosophy of encouraging children to soar high and excel in every walk of life, while remaining firmly rooted in our culture and values, strongly resonates with us. This balanced approach to achievement, character, and values aligns perfectly with our own thoughts and expectations for our child.

How is the school environment and the way teachers interact with students?

The school environment is very conducive to effective and meaningful learning. The teachers are especially kind, approachable, and supportive, which makes children feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

The classrooms and common areas are hygienic, the premises are well maintained, and security is given due importance. All of this comes together to create a positive and stress-free learning environment. As parents, we feel completely comfortable entrusting the school with our child’s education and overall well-being.

Now that your child has been studying here, has the school lived up to what you expected?

Absolutely! My child is receiving quality education and is being nurtured wonderfully by his teachers. He has become more confident, has developed a strong understanding of concepts, and is also becoming increasingly creative.

I believe creativity truly blossoms in a safe, encouraging, and stimulating environment. Looking at his growth, I am absolutely certain that choosing Apeejay was the right decision for our family.

What is one thing about the school that you value the most as a parent?

The constant feedback and support from the teachers is something I value immensely. I feel blessed that my child is in such capable, proficient, and nurturing hands.

Every teacher we have interacted with has been wonderful, and our journey with the school so far has been truly beautiful and fulfilling.

What changes have you noticed in your child since they joined the school?

My child used to be quite reserved when it came to speaking and expressing himself. The teachers have made a tremendous effort to encourage him to speak up and express himself with confidence.

They have ensured that he participates in various events, and this has helped boost his confidence tremendously. I am truly grateful to the teachers and the school for believing in him, recognising his qualities, supporting and guiding him, and giving him opportunities to perform. Seeing him become more confident and expressive has been one of the most rewarding aspects of our journey with Apeejay.
