For Haresh Ubhare, choosing Apeejay School, Nerul for his daughter Ruhi came down to the institution’s long-standing reputation. With Ruhi now in Class 2, Section C, he reflects on the confidence she’s gained, the school’s structured approach to teaching, and a piece of constructive feedback that the school genuinely acted on.
Why did you choose Apeejay for your daughter?
Apeejay is one of the oldest and most well-known schools, not just in Nerul, but across Navi Mumbai as a whole. The school carries a very rich background when it comes to education — its values, its teaching approach, and its curriculum structure are all excellent. That reputation is really what drew us to Apeejay .
Are you satisfied with the teaching process and extracurricular activities since joining?
Yes, definitely. Since she joined, we’ve observed excellent growth in her understanding and overall development. She’s gained confidence, not just academically, but through extracurricular activities as well. Her presentation skills, her stage confidence, and her overall activities in front of others have improved noticeably. The improvement in our daughter has honestly been very encouraging to see.
During PTMs, we do interact closely with the teachers, and they’re always thorough — explaining even the smallest details about Ruhi’s performance, her participation in class, and areas where she might need a little more support. That level of communication gives us real confidence in how attentively the school looks after the students.
Do you feel there’s a rush to complete the syllabus, or do teachers take time to help students understand concepts properly?
No, we don’t feel that at all. The syllabus is taught in a very structured, proper manner. We actually use two platforms for tracking this — Moodle and the Parents App — through which we’re regularly informed about which topics will be covered each month.
As far as I can tell for Ruhi specifically, she isn’t feeling rushed or burdened. The syllabus and homework are being completed comfortably within a reasonable time frame.
